IPG Mediabrands is one of the world’s preeminent media agencies. The company has access to a wealth of different data sources; they utilize numerous tools and applications; but with their size and scope comes a sprawling infrastructure. They came to us to design and build an internal user interface to examine the connections between all those valuable assets: data, tools, applications and infrastructure. Working in an iterative and collaborative manner with the client, we developed several graphic views for users to view these connections and dive deeper for more detailed views of each entity and its connections. The application features a global search. Users can group by, filter by and color by aggregated entities to create specific views. The goal of this project was to create an interface that would facilitate the Mediabrands team’s ability to identify where they can improve the usage and connections between their data and tools.
