U.S. DOL App Challenge

Client: OES Map

Completed: 2011

Our entry in the DOL’s Occupational Employment Statistics Challenge was the OES Map, an “at a glance” view of employment statistics including hourly and annual wages, job totals, unemployment rates, and location quotients across the U.S.

The user can easily switch between occupation groups and drill down into subgroups on an interactive choropleth map. Clicking on any state reveals a scorecard that details population, employment and unemployment figures, average wages, and deviation from the U.S. average, as well as top employers and an industry breakdown.
